The ERP Masterplan

Nine steps. Five stars.
From yes to Legend.

Most ERP projects start with a consultant guessing what you need and end a year later with something rebuilt to fit what really happens. We built Majestic the other way round: a full system live in about sixty seconds, then a plan on your wall that takes you from your first quote to a business that runs on the system instead of on you.

60 secto build your system, against a 12 to 18 month norm
9 stepsin three levels, each with a moment that tells you it's done
~600%growth at one customer, with the same admin team
Keepyour Sage, Xero or QuickBooks. Nothing ripped out
Why it's a game changer

We could not live with the traditional route. So we replaced it.

The old way is a project. Someone scopes what they think will be right for you, configures what they hope will work, and then a bespoke build stretches the timeline by a year while it is redeveloped to fit what really happens in a business. The Masterplan is not a project. It is a plan with a start, a shape and a finish line, and it starts at the bottom on purpose: each step takes you a little further from the chaos, with more control, more confidence and a stronger business as you climb.

The traditional route

  • A consultant scopes what they think you need
  • Months of configuration before you see your own data
  • A big-bang cutover, with the old way switched off on a date someone else chose
  • Priced per user, so people share logins and the team stays off the system
  • The project ends. Then you're on your own

The ERP Masterplan

  • Live in about sixty seconds. Preconfigured from a real manufacturer. Load your data as it is and tidy as you go
  • A poster on your wall and an envelope that tells you exactly what happens next
  • Run alongside the old way for as long as you like. Switch-off day is a tick you choose, and we celebrate it
  • Priced on what your business is, never per user. The whole team goes on
  • It never ends. A coach, a review at 18 months and every anniversary, your voice in the roadmap, and a star a year to Legend
“The Masterplan is there not only to make sure you onboard correctly, but to make sure you get the most out of the application, optimise your operations and, more importantly, become part of a roadmap that builds something far more robust than a one-off creation.” Jonathan Balmforth, Founder, Majestic ERP
Built from a real business. Not built for one.

Majestic's operational logic was forged inside JB Valves, a UK maker of high-integrity subsea and high-pressure valves, which still runs Majestic every single day. The steps on the poster are the steps we took ourselves. A UK cloud software company, established 2014, Huddersfield.

Your accounts stay yours. Majestic runs your operation; your accounts package remains the financial record. The only thing that moves between them is the sales invoice.

Load it as it is. You don't clean your data first. Load it, the system shows you the errors, you tidy as you go. Waiting for a perfect data set is how projects never start.

Nothing here is one-way. If a load goes wrong we clear it and go again. Skip an import and come back to it. Change your package at any step, in writing. The plan bends; it does not break.

The nine steps

Start bottom left. Work upwards.

Nine steps in three levels. Level one gets you in; level two gets you running; level three gets you more. Every step has three ticks, and the step is passed when all three are done. Some steps are a journey and have an A3 map of their own; the rest need only the poster.

Level oneGet in: the envelope lands, your choices, name your pain
Level twoGet running: your firsts, your Fitness zone, your voice in the roadmap
Level threeGet more: partner or carry on, better than ever, five stars
What Majestic recordsEvery wizard stage, every first, your Fitness zone: Majestic records them as they happen, with the date, so nothing depends on memory.
You tick the posterThe things only you know, like the poster going up or the questionnaire being done, you tick on the wall as they happen.
One star a yearA star on every anniversary, coloured in on your poster. Five stars is Legend.
Level one

Get in

1You've committed
The envelope lands.

You said yes, your system was created in about sixty seconds, and a few days later this envelope arrived. Everything in it exists so you never have to wonder what happens next. The first decision is a person: who in your business is the ERP focal point.

The three ticks

  • Poster on the wall
  • Your ERP focal point named
  • Your team told what's changing

What you get

  • The ERP Masterplan poster (A3)
  • The guide, the Deep Dive, the Step 2 map
  • Accounting Integration, Demo Walkthrough, Capability Map, Security
  • The founder's letter and card
The momentThe founder's letter. The poster going up.
2Get onboard
Your choices, then the plan into action.

The setup wizard, stage by stage: log in, company details, settings, then suppliers, products, customers, orders and purchase orders, in that order because each one leans on the last. Review, confirm, and the system is yours. If a load goes wrong we can clear, change and re-upload.

The three ticks

  • Data loaded
  • Wizard reviewed and confirmed
  • Five products and five customers spot-checked on screen

What you get

  • The ‘Let's get you onboard!’ certificate and Your Choices, sealed inside the envelope
  • The Step 2 map: nine stages, one launch
  • The setup wizard, on screen
The momentThe last stage confirmed. The system is yours.
3The deep dive
Name your pain.

Twenty minutes with the people who feel the pain: whoever chases orders, whoever counts stock, whoever does the invoices. Five pains scored out of ten, one circled as the main one, and the worries written down. A low score is good news; it means less to fix.

The three ticks

  • Questionnaire done and scored
  • Main pain named
  • Sent in

What you get

  • The Deep Dive questionnaire (in the envelope)
  • Our reply: a note from the founder and one sheet for your main pain, with the order to do the wizard in
The momentSending it in, and our reply.
Level two

Get running

4You're live
Your firsts.

Nine things that happen once and then happen every day: first customer, first quote, first sales order, first purchase order from the purchase list, first delivery in, first pick, first despatch, first invoice through to your accounts, first stock take. Then switch-off day, when the old way stops.

The three ticks

  • First quote and first order
  • First invoice through to your accounts
  • The old way switched off

What you get

  • The Step 4 map: Your firsts, printed with your own dates and posted to you
  • The Demo Walkthrough, if you want the workflow beside you
The momentThe last first lands. Your own map, with your own dates, in the post.
5Accelerate and optimise
Find your Fitness zone.

Going live is one thing; getting the most out of it is another. The roles we ship, your people, their dashboards, the reports you keep asking for, the purchase list deciding what to buy, the stock loop closed. Then your Operational Fitness zone shows for the first time.

The three ticks

  • Everyone has their own login
  • The purchase list is driving buying
  • Your Fitness zone showing

What you get

  • The Step 5 map: Getting the most out of it, posted when your zone first shows
  • Your Operational Fitness zone, on screen
The momentYour Fitness zone, showing for the first time.
6Shape it, and share it
Your voice in the roadmap.

You are introduced to the other users, the roadmap and the FAQ, and asked what needs improving. When something you asked for ships, we tell you it was you. Referrals are explained for the first time, and only explained; the Partner Programme is shown once, and never pushed.

The three ticks

  • Something added to the roadmap or FAQ
  • Your score card started
  • The Partner Programme seen

What you get

  • The roadmap and FAQ, with the sheet
  • The referral sheet
  • Twenty ticks on your score card unlocks beta features before release
The momentSeeing your suggestion on the roadmap, with your name on it.
Level three

Get more

7Choose your role
Partner, or carry on.

Some customers want more of a role with us: a Partner who introduces, demonstrates, onboards or resells at whatever level suits them, or a Development Partner who builds with us. The level is never fixed at the start; it follows what you actually do. Most carry on as customers, and that is a tick too.

The three ticks

  • Chosen, or skipped
  • Agreement in place if chosen
  • First referral or first conversation

What you get

  • Tell us your story: eight questions in your words
  • The Partner Handbook, sent at one year
  • A certificate, for those who join
The momentA certificate, for those who join.
8Review, then look forward
Better than ever.

Your first review at 18 months after go-live, then one a year on your anniversary. The Deep Dive again, scored beside the first time. The Fitness zone trend. What is still on paper. Three goals for the next period, and new target dates on the poster.

The three ticks

  • Deep Dive re-scored beside the first
  • Fitness trend read
  • Next three goals written

What you get

  • The review pack, posted before each review: the Deep Dive again and a goals page
  • A star, every anniversary
The momentSeeing how far the scores moved. This year's star.
9Legend
Five years. Five stars.

Five years on Majestic. Five stars on the poster. A real super user: a business that runs on the system rather than on you. Your name on the Legends wall in Huddersfield and on the website if you want it there, and an invitation to tell your story, in your words and your numbers.

The three ticks

  • Five stars on the plan
  • Your name on the Legends wall, if you want it there
  • Your story told, if you want to

What you get

  • A place on the Legends wall
  • The framed Legend poster and a letter from the founder, signed by hand
The momentThe fifth star. Your name on the wall.
What arrives, and when

Your envelope, so nothing is a surprise and nothing is missing.

A few days after you say yes, a real envelope lands on a real desk. It is not a welcome pack. It is the plan, and everything you need for level one.

  • S1-01The ERP Masterplan poster, A3. The nine steps on one sheet. Goes on the wall.
  • S1-02Your ERP Masterplan, the guide. What happens at each step, what we do, what you do.
  • S1-03The Deep Dive questionnaire. Five pains scored; comes back by photo, with your coach, or by post.
  • S1-04Get Onboard, the Step 2 map. Nine stages, one launch. Sealed inside, with your certificate and Your Choices.
  • S1-05Accounting Integration. Your accounts stay yours. A second copy for your accountant if you named them.
  • S1-06The Demo Walkthrough. The workflow beside you: quote to order to works order to purchase to despatch.
  • S1-07The Capability Map. The whole operation on one page, so your team can see it runs all of it.
  • S1-09How your data is kept safe. Hosting, logins, permissions, backups, the audit trail.
  • S1-00The founder's letter and your contact's card. Name, direct line and email. Signed by hand.

And after the envelope

  • When the Deep Dive comes backOur reply: a note from the founder and one sheet for your main pain (step 3).
  • When the last first landsThe Step 4 map, printed with your own dates.
  • When your Fitness zone first showsThe Step 5 map: getting the most out of it.
  • At step 6The roadmap, the FAQ and the referral sheet. Your voice, in writing.
  • At one yearThe Partner Handbook, as an invitation. Choose a role, or carry on.
  • 18 months after go-live, then every anniversaryThe review pack: the Deep Dive again and a goals page. Your star, marked on your Masterplan.
  • Year fiveLegend. The framed poster, the letter, the wall.
Every day in between. Ask us anything. The first thing back is a timeline: what we're doing and how long it will take. Your contact's name, direct line and email are on the card in the envelope.
How much we do is your choice

The same nine steps, whichever package you choose.

The package decides how much of the plan we do with you. Three packages, whichever subscription tier you are on. Your tier is the size of system you bought; the package is how much of the plan we do together. Neither changes the other.

Included in your subscription

DIY

The plan, the wizard, the documentation and how-to videos, your coach, and the support. Our time is there to buy if you want it.

  • You follow the poster yourself
  • The system ticks what it can see
  • We are a reply away
ForConfident teams with clean-ish data, and businesses starting fresh.
Paid, by package

Guided

The same plan, with our hours bought against the steps you want help with: a data cleanse, the finance connection, role training, dashboards.

  • You still own the poster
  • We do the steps you paid for, with you
  • We tell you in writing beforehand whether the package fits your data
ForBusinesses that want certain things done properly without handing everything over.
Paid, full service

Inner Circle

A coach, from Majestic or an approved partner, will help close every step, done together.

  • A plan with a timeline that works for you
  • The accountability that comes with preparation that works
  • Every step, side by side
ForBusinesses that would rather run the business than run a project.

You choose a package at checkout and can move up or down at any step; your contact confirms the hours in writing before anything changes. The package ladder and prices are on the website and in your welcome email.

We love growth

We don't think you should be held back. Not by your system, and not by us.

Your business has a shape. Operational Fitness shows it to you: like a fitness tracker for the operation, it watches your orders, stock, purchasing and despatch over time and tells you which zone you are in and what would move it. It is a health measure, never a meter on the invoice.

StableFoundations
ActiveEngaged
AcceleratingBuilding momentum
ScalingExpanding
EliteAt full stride

Your zone comes from your own recent activity, smoothed over three weeks and measured against your own baseline. It refreshes weekly, and the trend chart keeps twelve months. Elite is a zone; Enterprise is a tier. A Starter customer can be in the Elite zone and stay there.

  • Priced on what your business is, never per user. A tier is sized for your operational profile and the whole team goes on it. Tiers buy headroom, not features.
  • Your tier never changes on its own. The dashboard shows your zone, never a score. If you have been in a higher zone for a sustained period, someone from Majestic asks whether the current tier still feels right. It is a conversation and an offer, not a charge. A fair use policy applies.
  • Growth is the point. One customer grew around 600% on Majestic with the same admin team. People assumed they had added staff. It was freedom from chaos.

Step 4: your firsts

Nine things that happen once, then every day. Majestic records each one as it happens, with the date. The tenth is yours.

First customer
First quote
First sales order
First purchase order from the purchase list
First delivery in
First pick
First despatch
First invoice through to your accounts
First stock take
Switch-off day: the old way stops

There is no big-bang cutover. Run the old way beside the new until you trust it, then switch it off. That switch-off is step 4's last tick, and we celebrate it.

The ecosystem

Become part of it, and the plan starts paying you back.

Most people who join Majestic heard about it from someone who already runs on it. From step 6 your voice shapes the product, and if you know a business with the pain you used to have, an email introduction is enough; we do the rest, at their pace, with no hard sell. If Majestic is not right for them, we tell them so and point them at what is.

Step 6Share it

Introduce a business with the pain you used to have. A name and a company is enough; we ask before we contact them.

Step 6Shape it

Feedback, FAQ questions, suggestions and roadmap ideas: five of each fills your score card and unlocks beta features before release.

Step 7Choose your role

At one year the Partner Handbook arrives as an invitation. Introduce, demonstrate, onboard or resell, at the level that suits you. Or carry on; that's a tick too.

Step 9Legend

Five years, five stars. Your name on the Legends wall in Huddersfield, and your story told in your words and your numbers.

Refer enough, and your ERP can be free.

Every business you introduce earns you a share of what they pay Majestic, every month, for as long as you stay active in the relationship. The more involved you are, from an introduction to joining a demo to onboarding someone yourself, the bigger the share. The level follows what you do; nobody chooses one up front. Introduce enough businesses and the rebate can cover your whole subscription.

Rates and levels live in the Partner Programme and are explained properly at step 6. They are never a reason to introduce someone who doesn't need us.

The Legends wall
Year five Five stars on the poster. A framed Legend poster, a letter from the founder signed by hand, and your name on the wall in Huddersfield.
